I was born in New Port Beach, CA. I was moved after my 1st birthday to Oregon, then moved to Illinois and has been living there(here) since I was 3. I would like to move back to CA with in the next 10 years. I got family out there and in near by states. I'm also sick of the ice and snow during the winter over here.

Anyways I'm an IL licensed emt-b, getting into firefighting and paramedic. I'm going to take the NR if I can find a center that is ofering it. After reading some of your forums; would the lay offs and budget problems make this a bad move in that time frame, or should I look for near by states-that have snow free areas
