    Exclamation Engineer driving tests...

I am in search of information about recent Engineer "driving tests" for a promotional exam and, the test components. If possible, from the West Coast (specifically CA. as the DMV code requirements would be similar)I'd like to see a list of the driving maneuvers conducted, the parameters for how those maneuvers were scored (what constituted point deductions, failures, etc., ) and, the standards which they were modeled after (i.e., NFPA, DMV etc.)If you have the same info. available for the pumping portion of the test, feel free to include it although our main concern at this point is the driving portion. Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

Are you looking to sit for an exam or create a new process for your department?

    Dave,

Thanks for the response. Actually, I am looking for information from other tests that have already been administered. Our Dept. just finished giving a test and there are questions about the process, namely the scoring portion for both the driving and the manipulative parts. I now both areas are fairly well laid out between DMV and NFPA but they chose to deviate from both so I am trying to find what other Depts. are administering and how they are scoring them, whether arbitrairily or, by the book?
    Any info. greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    bckdrft:
Calif. DMV administers what they call the
DL 170 program. This program allows Fire
Depts/Districts to give the pre-trip insp.
skills test, and driving test in house.

There are two manuels for the DL170 program
(the blue and yellow manuels) these two
manuels spell out what is required for the
pre-trip insp., skills test (5 events) and
the driving test and how all three are scored.

The program is headquartered at DMV
    Sacramento.

    Hope this helps
    Bill

    Default DL170

    Bill,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we already have copies of both of those, neither of which were specifically followed. Thus, our mess.

    Thanks again,
