Ah, yes, a few words are in order.
I don't look at the numbers very often as I have a shortcut to the Illinois forums in my browser. Numbers are not really that important. But, if you look at how much information there is available in the IL forum it's no wonder the numbers are there. Sure there's a bunch of joking around, but when the discussion gets serious, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can get more serious and honest than the flatlanders. We don't badmouth each other, or anybody else for that matter. We take our firefighting seriously and use these forums to help educate not only fellow boyz but all the ffs in the US and across the waters, too.
Boyz from Illinois, pat yourselves on the back and keep up the great work. We ARE and will be FLATLANDERS FOREVER!!!

It was in the works after Wayne was given the first honorary flatlander status when it was just the two of us outsiders contributing at the beginning. Then all of a sudden the rules were changed and I was never afforded the honor after all

It is the contention of the Illinois delegation that IF an interloper is fortunate to gain Honorary Flatlander status, then that former interloper now flatlander is considered a flatlander and as such by reference if included in any and all references to flatlanders and will not be individually recognized as honorary flatlanders as they are considered flatlanders. In addition, any interloper, while interloper's input is very greatly appreciated and acknowledged, is just that - an interloper and said interlopers will therefore not be acknowledged as, individually or as a whole, a part of the Ilinois delegation.
The Illinois delegation welcomes any and all interlopers to seek honorary flatlander status and each applicant will be treated the same as far as that application is concerned. We ARE an equal opportunity delegation.
