I am a career firefighter/medic from a small city around Cincinnati with a large amount of heavy industry and chemical manufacturing.
Our council has squandered all their money on pools and other poor decisions. Now they want to layoff fire fighters to compensate for their poor decisions and lack of planning. My union has told them the consequences of their layoffs and potential risk, but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone has a link to an article, or a personal example of a building being burned down, or a life being lost do to firefighter layoffs. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated since I was the last man hired and first to be fired.
