I heard somebody recall a Pittsburgh electrical substation fire in 1993, who claimed the FD used a deck gun with a "pulsed" stream. I've searched here and elsewhere but can't find any references to such a thing, except for this bad boy:
(If I was going into a fire with that, I'd have to stop to get my picture taken! )
However, I'm pretty sure this isn't what the guy was talking about. Other than "pulsing" manually, which seems to risk water hammer among other issues, is anybody familiar with this? And, as a secondary question, has anybody used this so-called impulse gun?
