Default Floor plans for fire department?

I am in the early stages of designing a new fire station. Does anybody have or know where I can find examples of layouts or floor plans do get some ideas from? Any help would be great.

Do a search on here for similar topics.

Do searches on Yahoo and Google etc. for fire house architecture and look at firms web sites.

    Look at www.firestationdesign.com

Also contact the NFA library and ask for the bibliography on Fire station design. They will send you a list of what they have. Research all info you can find.

    Hire an architect.

An architectural firm located in Bel Air, Md. (Near Baltimore) has extensive experience in designing Fire Stations. Here is their website:

    Hope it helps!

Check out Fire Facilities, the website of Stewart-Cooper-Newell architects in Gastonia, NC. They've been a great help to us as we're getting our new VFD's building off the ground.

Look at this month's issue of Fire Chief magazine. It's got a bunch of stations in it.
