Seriously, I saw two NASCAR vehicles parked on 7th Ave and 38th Street at about 4:00 PM on Tues. Maybe they raced 54 Engine over?

On the radio this morning, they were talking about 10 Nascar cars being in NYC this week. One day they are going to do a lap around a few blocks. It's to promote the awarding of the Nextel Cup I believe.

It's a whole week of events
This is NASCAR champions week in New York. Almost, but not quite what Daytona week in February is. Check out nascar.com for a complete listing of all the events.
I will be in sports withdrawls until Feb.

FDNY wins!!!!
The results...you ask??
NEW YORK (AP) - NASCAR champion Kurt Busch isn't so fast after
all.
The four-day tour of the city that concludes Friday night with
the Nextel Cup championship presentation took him to the FDNY Fire
Academy on Tuesday, where Busch proved no match for New York City's
bravest.
Honorary recruit Busch had to uncoil and pull a fire hose around
a corner, push up a ladder, drive a sledgehammer against a
hydraulic pad and drag a 175-pound dummy 35 feet around a cone and
back to the starting point.
"I thought it was going to be cake until we came to that
175-pound dummy," Busch said. "My lap time was going great until
I got to that point."
Busch completed the training exercise in 1 minute, 53 seconds.
The FDNY average for recruits is 1:18.Proudly serving as the IACOJ Minister of Information & Propoganda!
