    Default Confined Space & Wild Land PPE

    Im reading ifsta "Fire Service Rescue" the chapter reagrding Confined Space Rescue it says that Wild Land PPE is similar to PPE for Confined Space Rescue, Could Wild Land Gear be used for Cofined Space Rescue?

    If your gear is like ours, I don't see an issue with it. (2 piece pants and jacket made of a light material?)

    Overalls are good too.

    Wouldn't recommend structural fire fighting gear though...

    Your Dept uses Wild Land PPE for Confined Space Rescue? Would OSHA have a issue with that idea?

    BHF, we're in Australia so OSHA can say what they want!!

    Seriously though, my comment is that I personally don't see an issue with it, nor do I see an issue with full length overalls.

    Having said that, I don't know specifically what your legal responsiblities are in terms of OSHA, NFPA, etc...
