I have not checked all of the member profiles, but to the best of my knowledge, the only to firefighters regularly attending the forums here ( from New Mexico) are myself and nmfire. If there is anyone else out there, lets get together and exchange some info, so maybe we can provide each other some helpful info. This state is not that big.

I am glad I finally got a response! I was beginning to think I was the only one that ever browsed this forum.
I am in Artesia. Down in s.e. corner. Small town. I am a volunteer at Riverside, which is directly east of Artesia, about 5 miles.
Hey trsgreg, My brother lives near there at Pojaque, and he works at the labs in L.A.
I do have a question for you both. I don't know if you are both in same county or not, but does your county have a " fire excise tax" in effect? If so, how long has it been?
I am just wondering because this county has had one for the last ten years, and it is up for renewal. County officials believe there are a lot of cynics in the county who do not believe this tax is needed, and we are trying to get going with a public info campaign. If you have any experience with this and don't mind giving some pointers, I would really appreciate it.

Another New Mexican here! I guess it has been a while since anyone has posted so I won't say anything else until I see if this still has a pulse!
Just my opinion, not my organization's, for what it is worth.

Used to live there for 5 years back in 1992 on, but am back in Michigan now. I lived at W.S.M.R. when I was in the army and served as an EMT out of there. Had a lot of calls on Hwy 70 between Las Cruces and Alamagordo.

Hello from up north.
Hey bcalujan,
Checked out your site. I'm not testing in Cruces but am getting ready for testing in Farmington. I picked up some tips for my workouts. Kudos on your F&H section.
How do you like your ALF's? There aren't any up here, so just curious.
Stay safe,
