Anybody here have experiences with fire safety houses? We've looking at the possibility of purchasing one. I've found Scotty and Surrey, but does anybody else make one? Anything good or bad about Scotty of Surrey, or any other manufacturers?

Surreys are made about an hour west of here and of course are popular in the region. Of the 2 that I have extensive knowledge of they have been very durable and free of defects.

Thanks Josh. Maybe if we get one, we'll come by when we pick it up.

Check with Brownstown Fire Department. They purchased a Fire Safety trailer a couple of years ago.
Check out their website http://www.bfpd.org

I've seen the pictures.
They're 10 months delivery now, anyway, so if it happens it won't be anytime soon. The Brownstown sight has some great pictures of their trailer on it. I don't know if we could get all that stuff on one, but it would be nice.Jack Boczek, Chief

Safety house
Jack,
Kane County purchased a safety house not to long ago. I believe it is a Surrey. It is housed at my fulltime job. I can possibly take pictures and get some information for you. We have had nothing but praise from it. Everyone that has been through it and has run it enjoy it. Let me know if you need all this info.
Thanks,
Paco

Hi, Jaybird. What's the matter, bored again? Come help me fry chicken for our village xmas party. You better hurry, though, we eat at noon.
I'm getting excited about this safety house. Now all we need is 6-8k more dollars and FEMA's approval. The possibilities for its use are endless.Jack Boczek, Chief

Safe House
We have a Scotty Trailer, we have had it for about 3 years now. Along with the fire drill, we got the tornado set up also. Its all done by speakers, strobe lights and shaking blinds. People like the tornado as much as the fire drill. We looked at a few models and found that Scotty was the best for us.
