HYDETOWN — Michael R. Dunlap, 47, a volunteer firefighter here, died hours after responding to several calls. Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Eric Nikolaison said it appeared he suffered a heart attack. Dunlap, who was a volunteer firefighter for 26 years, worked with Hydetown for the last five, Nikolaison said.
A firefighter memorial service will be tonight at 6:30 at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, followed by calling hours from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church, 42496 Route 27.
Memorials may be made to the Michael R. Dunlap Memorial Fund, in care of the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 648, Hydetown, PA 16328.

A loss from the service is always tragic, but this time of year is even more devastating. Best wishes to the friends and family of Brother Dunlap.
