wow, are you asking someone to give you department property???

Has your department looked into the many federal grants available??

Grants are great if you apply and are lucky enough to receive them...many departments have applied (more than once) and not received squat...my own included.

firefightergtp, check out www.helpingourown.org and www.volunteerfd.org

I don't know exactly how Helping Our Own works, but I am a member of the Volunteer FD site, and from what I gather there is a yearly equipment drive in which equipment is posted on the site and is up for grabs, first come, first serve. I guess that's how it works, but you'll have to visit the site to find out for sure.

What kind of pagers are you looking for??

You might have more success if you were to state some important details like what frequency.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

    Question

I'm curious & confused. Straighten me out, if you could. I noted the location under your login name. They've got a volly department inside the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay? I checked out the base's website..but can't figure out how fire services are arranged.

Shouldn't the military provide pagers for the Naval Base?

Go see your county emergency mgmt. Homeland Security SGSHP money for FY03, 04, 05 is being distributed/in the pipeline. See that your dept "gets your share". Can be used for pagers, radios etc.

And you still haven't said what band pager you are looking for.
