Dangers of the Job at Christmas
You think you're safe...as you travel around town, atop the engine....red suit glowing, sirens blaring, children cheering, parents smiling...and then, a little Oswald appears
Teen accused of shooting Santa with pellet gun
SHAMOKIN, Pa. (AP) - Police in Shamokin say a 17-year-old boy is
accused of firing a pellet gun at a man dressed as Santa Claus,
causing a minor injury.
Police say the boy will be charged today (Wednesday) after
confessing to firing the pellet that struck the 23-year-old man in
the thigh Monday night. At the time Scott Slodysko, a volunteer
fireman, was dressed as Santa while riding atop a fire truck.
Slodysko's injury didn't require him to go to a hospital or miss

Not to mention that Shamokin is near the northeast coal region of the state. It should be easy for him to get a ton of coal in his Christmas stocking.

What is with these kinds of kids today? What would possess them to shoot a Santa figure?? *Shakes head*

Now THAT sounds like something the kids in my town would pull. At least the teen is being charged, and HOPEFULLY he'll get more than a slap on the wrist.
Dang little pyros in my town set a fire this summer that was just about disasterous for 6 of our own, and what do they get?! A WHOLE YEAR of UNSUPERVISED probation!
Hopefully the Santa shooter will get something a little harsher since he's a few years older.
Stories like this are what make me really grateful for growing up around the fire dept. and having a whole bunch of COJ's behind me, always looking over my shoulder, with full permission to keep me in line.

- Why? It's not like you're going to visit me! But I'm near Waco, Texas
For that along with whatever punishment the system gives him, he should be banned from seeing the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and not allowed to wear green on St Patrick's Day.NREMT-P\ Reserve Volunteer Firefighter\Reserve Police Officer
