    Talking Volunteer Departments in Illinois

    I'm looking to get on a volunteer fire department while I'm taking my Fire Science classes and going to paramedic school. However, I know of only one Volunteer Department, which is in Knollwood Illinois, and they only take level 1 firefighters.
    Does anyone know of any other vol. dept. in northern illinois ?

    The only true volly dept in the chicagoland area is Glenn Ellyn. Also same suburb as College of Dupage. There are a few that are POC's. Not sure which ones. I believe Addison does live in type deals for EMS students not sure about it though check the thread called "COD student" in the illinois forum for more info.
