    Default Class

Does anyone know if there are enough people signed up for this. I just want to make sure the class is still going to happen.

I've registered too. Last thing I heard from Steve was last week and we were still a few short of the requirement. I expect it to fill up though the closer it gets to the day. At least I hope it does!

I don't think he really exists. Has anybody north of Peoria ever seen the guy?

I mean, really. He claims to be building a fire station, but nothing substantive has come out of him in months.

I think he might be a skinny 16 year old explorer from around the St. Louis area. But I could be wrong.

#1. I've met CR, he can vouch for my existance.
#2. What about the rock scattered around in the field. That's constructive.
#3. Wrong again, Jaybird. Although I wish I were a skinny 16 YO again. I was once, you know.

Sandoval is NOT north of Peoria. Is CR far enough north of Peoria to qualify? Hmmm. I'm not so sure......

Hey, how about the far West? 80fire can also say that I exist. Whether he'll admit it or not remains to be seen. Les, help me out here.
I wish our fire marshall would post something instead of just lurking. He'd tell you who I really am. On second thought...

What!!?! Could it be?!? You, you mean there's something out there north of Rt. 50? Impossible I say! And of course I would like to apologize already to my brothers up north for the last comment made in jest! I just couldn't resist!

Ok, here is how we can do this. Get name tags for class then under your real name ( mine is the same) Put your FH forums name. So we can try and keep it straight. But I am bad with names so write big. See you in a few weeks.

Yeah, and you were MIA for an awfully long time.

Oh, the hell with it. I won't believe anybody till I see with my own eyes.

I didn't think there was anything south of I-80 till I drove there myself to see it. I thought that was Kentucky?

All I know is that I exist. Or do I? Had a gal in the ambulance the other day sit straight up, grab me by the shirt, and ask, "Am I dead? Are you real? Where am I? Am I dead?" Man it was tough not to laugh! ETOH will do that to you everytime!

So far we've got crisb, barny, Jack and myself. The way we are on the forums it might not be a good idea if all of us Firehouse posters sit together. We might get thrown out!

Jay, I went to college at Carbondale and I wish I had a nickel for all the times the northerners said the same thing about southern Illinois!

There's a couple of other crusties coming, too, so we may have a big crowd. I'm sure we can be serious when it comes to learning firefighter stuff.

For anybody interested, I got a confirmation and invoice from ISFSI today for the TO101. Guess they want their money. It said I was #4 to register and they needed 15-25 for the class. If you didn't get something in the next couple days, I'd be calling or something.

Just got off the phone with ISFSI, after finally getting someone to answer. They said that the class is a definate GO, with 19 people signed up so far. They said that confirmations and invoices were mailed today (Jack I guess you're special to get one early. ) I guess this means that I'll be making the long haul down there at the end of January. Whoo-Hoo, road trip.
And Jack if you want me to, I can bring a camera to take some pictures to prove you really do exist.

Hope they don't send me another bill. I'll have a hard enough time getting one paid. Bunnie, it's not that bad a trip for you, only about 2 1/2 hours, no more than 3 if you have to make a pit stop.
I don't need any pictures taken. Jaybird's already seen one and called it "ugly". I'm not sure if he meant it was a bad picture of me or if the subject was ugly. See ya in a couple weeks.

Thanks, I have tried to confirm that I got in, but no luck. As for the picture, a picture of all the forums user's would be cool. Make sure you wear your colors proud. Stay Safe

Hope I get confirmed seeing how the check was sent with the registration!

Yes crisb, we should take a picture of all of us together, that way those up north will have a reminder that there IS something south of I-80 and us southerners will remember there's something north of Rt 50!! Of course we're all the same, we're all FLATLANDERS!
