when you close a thread, can you at least post why it is being closed?
I know sometimes people get out of hand, off topic, or one person (or two people) start a fight, and then you close the thread. would it not be easier (and more beneficial to the fh.com community) to delete the offending posts, or leave a message saying what is being posted doesn't belong here or is inappropriate, instead of closing the entire thread? after all, a person can just restart a new thread on the same topic, often without understanding why the initial thread was closed.
for examples, in the EMS forum "how do you stay married?!", a very valid question was asked. and it's an important topic, as EMS has a very high divorce rate. and because of the inappropriate comments made by one person (and later a second person), the thread was closed. would it not be better to just delete the inappropriate comments, and leave a note saying that the type of discussion that was being discussed has no place here?
