    Default Seagrave Fire Apparatus

Do any Seagrave buffs have any history or factory photos of Virginia Beach Seagraves from 1926 and 1937? I know it's a tall order but I have to ask!!! I am writing the VBFD history and need this information. I have an order No. as 41440 but I do not know if it is reliable. Thanks for any leads. www.vbfd.com

Not trying to be a wise *ss, but have you tried contacting Seagrave directly? I have a friend restoring an old fire apparatus (which was of an undetermined builder) and quite a few manufacturers bent over backwards trying to help him find info about it.

Especially since you have an order number, reliable or not, it shouldn't be hard at all for a manufacturer to determine if they have something for you or not.

    Good luck!

Thanks 801, I did try but they found just the number and not any photos. I bought the Seagrave book by M Lee also. Sometimes, collectors have more info. Our truck was called a Suburinite if that helps also. I will contact Seagrave again. Thanks again and Happy New Year!
