Notice of Intent to Amend Regulations
In accordance with the provisions of subsection (a) of section 4-168 of the Connecticut General Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, pursuant to sections 14-137 and 14-36 of the Connecticut General Statutes, proposes to adopt a regulation regarding “Fire Apparatus License Endorsement.”
The purpose of the proposed regulation is to establish a special license endorsement for certain Connecticut firefighters.
Comments regarding this proposed regulation may be submitted in writing within thirty (30) days following publication of this notice to John Yacavone, Bureau Chief, Bureau of Legal Services, Rowland Government Center, 55 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702-2004; telephone number (203) 805-6016, fax number (203)805-6150, Email address john. email@example.com.

Regulation of Department of Motor Vehicles
Fire Apparatus License Endorsement
The Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies are amended by adding section 14-36a-1 as follows:
(New) Each holder of a Class D motor vehicle operator’s license who operates or intends to operate any fire apparatus vehicle may apply to the commissioner for a special license endorsement, to be designated as a “Q” endorsement. No such endorsement shall be issued to any such person until he or she demonstrates personally to the commissioner, or to the commissioner’s designee, by means of testing in a representative vehicle, as authorized by the chief of a fire department, that he or she possesses the skills necessary to operate such fire apparatus vehicle.
Purpose: To establish a special license endorsement for certain Connecticut firefighters.

Whatever happened with all this?
Just asking, because I just had my license renewed Saturday, and it's the same old Class 2 with the Q restriction as it always was. I was kind of hoping to see what the new system looked like.
Did it not go into effect yet? (Class D, etc)
