I know I'm going to get ripped by some out there but I just need to get a feel for what dept's like us feel about the state getting us the support we need.

I agree, but after a few years they will probably take it away and apply the money somewhere else. Just like the 50/50 and 80/20 grants and the REAP grants.

I've seen the 50/50 and 80/20 grants in 2004 as well as the REAP grants. If you haven't, you need to kick your rural coordinator's butt because he's the one supposed to provide the applications to you. The REAP's come to the Town Hall here and we apply when we can.

We have applied for those grants but our fire coordinator told us the money available for those grants have decreased.

I don't know if the money has decreased or not but we got an 80/20 for $4400.00 (I think the max was $16,000). I think the max on the 50/50 was $5000.00.
Sounds like he's not doing his job. Who's your coordinator?"It ain't the age honey, it's the mileage"-Indiana Jones
