    Default Rope

Yes, I know this is not the proper place for this topic, but I hope this will bring the best response.

Now to the actual topic. What do yall use as flag pole rope? Material, diameter, and specific name for the rope, if it has a specific name. We have not had much success with the "best" rope that the hardware stores sell for this. Leaving the flag up 24/7/365 takes it's toll and ropes only seem to last about a year or so before breaking. So any suggestions would be welcomed!

You are correct, sun and weather does take it's toll on rope. We use a synthetic clothesline type of stuff, and replace it about every year. it's cheap, and we just do it, instead of looking at other options, if there are any.
