It's a tie between Britney Spears and Paris Hilton for Star magazine's title of most annoying person of 2004.
Spears got the nod for doing everything but singing and dancing, including getting married -- twice.
Hilton got it for being overexposed in every sense of the word.
Anna Nicole Smith was second followed by The View's Star Jones for her over the top wedding.
Ashlee Simpson nabbed the fourth spot for being busted lip synching. Cameron Diaz rounded out the top five for fighting with the paparazzi.
Here's the entire top 10 list:
1. Britney Spears/Paris Hilton
2. Anna Nicole Smith
3. Star Jones Reynolds
4. Ashlee Simpson
5. Cameron Diaz
6. Lindsay Lohan
7. Sir Elton John
8. Gwyneth Paltrow
9. Michael Moore
10. Bill O'Reilly

If my basic HazMat training has taught me nothing else, it's that if you see a glowing green monkey running away from something, follow that monkey!

Not for nuthin, but since we're on the subject of Paris Hilton, am I the only one that sees a potential PR train wreck coming when "The Simple Life" films at a fire station?

I for one am sick of seeing Paris everywhere. What has she done? So she acted in a dumb TV show, is heiress to a fortune, was born beautiful...oh, and starred in her own movie, haha. She has no real reason to be famous.

treat them like Probies!!!"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

Why wasn't I told we were voting?
Britney doesn't bother me.
I vote for the two morons on the Sonic fast food commericals. They bug me to no end.
Glad to see Michael Moore on the list though!

I'm amazed to see that the Kerry/Edwards ticket was not on the top of this list. They are the most annoying people on the face of the earth. And before all you liberals get your panties in a bunch, I think GW and Dick should have been a close second.

Nah...although Kerry/Edwards are pretty annoying, I think that anyone who tells multiple lies to the Nation to start a needless war that has killed thousands upon thousands of people should DEFINITELY be at the top, don't you? This includes Rummy, of course. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Joe Scarborough should round out the top five, followed by Rush Limbaugh, Fred Barnes, Ann Coulter, John Gibson and all the idiots at Fox News, collectively.I'm amazed to see that the Kerry/Edwards ticket was not on the top of this list. Gee, I can think of plenty of people on local commercials that should be on that list. It's a shame some of the commercials that are on TV here are not shown nation wide. Then again I'm sure everyone everyone has people like we do here.

I may have been hallucinating, nut I think I saw a commercial tonight advertising a TV show starring Brittany's little sister. Please, God, let me be wrong.

Ok, I have a young enough daughter that I'm stuck watching some of these kids shows...Britney's little sister has been on one for a few years now. So far, "cuter" and more talented than her older sister.
