Certified in what?
Chief Dwayne LeBlanc
Paincourtville Volunteer Fire Department
Paincourtville, LA
"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Check for RESIPROSITY in your state and what ever state you are going to. They all have different levels of hoop-jumping you have to go through to recertify.

TX Cert.
As a texas firefighter, the best advice I can give is:
IFSAC for all Fire certs. and National Reg. for Paramedic
The Tx Commission on Fire Protection will accept
IFSAC seals and for basic FF they require the following
seals: FF1,FF2,Hazmat awearness, and Hazmat ops. Also do
a search for TCFP and look at the web site or call.
Good Luck

Re: How easy is it??
Hey Smith. I plan on moving to Kansas to start up my EMT-B and after that move to Paramedic. We are making the opposite trip! I have a contact in Kansas who says that if you are cert in one state you are cert in the other. Not 100 percent sure tho. Where are you moving from?Originally posted by Smithkd99
