LOS ANGELES, CA:
CIVILIAN FATALITY STRUCTURE FIRE:

On Monday, January 17, 2005 at 0158 Hours (1:58 AM PST), six Companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, one LAFD Rescue Ambulance and one Battalion Chief Officer Command Team under the direction of Battalion Commander John Drake responded to a Civilian Fatality Structure Fire at 2104 South Crenshaw Boulevard in the Mid-City area. Firefighters arrived quickly to discover fire showing from the first floor northwest portion of a large two-story Victorian-style single-family residence. Firefighters forced entry and using handlines mounted a bold assault on the fire, with simultaneous vertical ventilation of heat and smoke to assist with the search for a person reported missing within the maze-like confines of the voluminous wood frame home. The swift moving flames, which spread to both floors and attic of the 95 year-old residence on account the balloon-style construction typical of that era, were ultimately confined to the structure and extinguished in just thirty-one minutes. Near the final phase of fire extinguishment, Firefighters searching the 2,780 square foot residence discovered the remains of an adult female in a tiny second floor bathroom in the northeast section of the home. She was declared deceased at the scene. No evidence of a functional smoke alarm was found within the building. During fireground operations, one Firefighter sustained a moderate injury to his hand. In good condition, he was taken to Midway Hospital, where he treated and released. No other injuries were reported. Monetary loss from the fire is still being tabulated. The cause of this early morning blaze remains under active investigation by Los Angeles Fire Department and Police Department Investigators.

We offer Nationwide pager coverage. We are resellers for Metrocall and NEP/UCOM Paging. Incident coverage includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island,

Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

We page Working Fires and greater, Motor Vehicle Accidents using Jaws, MCI, or Medflight Helicopter. Police Incidents such as Shootings, stabbings, car chases, etc. and Major NEWS incidents.

We have a National Group for multiple alarms that we get from our affiliates across the country and Canada.

We have several groups to choose from and all groups have the option to be turned off. We also use a state of the art FLEX system which allows us to page 240 characters. We also offer 1.7 way and 2 way pagers for guaranteed delivery of your pages.

A feature for those outside our pager service area allows us to page our incidents to your personal alphanumeric pager or to your digital cell phone or any E-mail enabled wireless device.

For existing Fire Paging groups we have the TAC9 USA Computer for multiple alarm fires. A Fire Paging group sends one page to this computer, either by SNPP, WCTP, SMTP (E-mail), or TAP (dial up) and the system sends that multiple alarm fire to all your reciprocal groups. That simple !

Call us for details or check us out on the web at www.tac9.com

Thank You for your interest in TAC9 PAGING
