BOMB SCARE -- An Orem fire station and nearby skate park were evacuated and a street closed down after a woman brought a potential explosive to the fire station. A woman came to Orem Fire Station Number 3, near 250 N. 1200 West, around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, saying she had found a container in her son's room marked "Napalm. " Nervous and unsure what to do, she drove the container to the fire station. Firefighters called the Utah County Bomb Squad, who used a robot to check the car. A man in a bomb suit removed the container from the woman's car, and the container was taken to a remote location and exploded. Firefighters evacuated themselves and all the fire trucks before the container was moved, and closed down a neighboring skate park for about an hour. A section of 1200 West was closed for about 20 minutes.
