We are in St John's ,next month as I understand, however the way the hire here you would be looking at several years of part time before you would get a full time position. Im not sure how many but rumour has it between 25 and 35. Information is available on the city's website

Calgary Fire is hiring on an ongoing basis, and also I have heard that Edmonton is going to be having a competition in June.

Both London, Ontario and Markham, Ontario are currently advertising for probationary firefighters. You should be able to find information on each cities website.
