I thought I would post the information from the email we received this morning......

The Lombard Fire Department announces the death of long time member, Deputy
Chief Jerome J. Tonne.

Deputy Chief Tonne (57 years old) lost his battle with cancer on February
7, 2005.

Visitation will be held at Knollcrest Funeral Home located at 1500 S.
Meyers Road in Lombard on Thursday Feb 10 from 3 to 9 pm. A Fire
Department Walk Through will commence at 7 pm that night - line up at 6:45
pm. The Lombard Fire Department is encouraging other departments to
participate in the Walk Through.

On Friday Feb 11 at 9:15 am a brief Prayer Service will be held at
Knollcrest Funeral Home. Line up will be at
9 am. Immediately following the Prayer Service a procession from
Knollcrest will commence and proceed to Sacred Heart Church located at 114
S. Elizabeth Street in Lombard. The Lombard Fire Department is encouraging
other fire departments to participate in the procession. A Mass be begin at
10 am.

He is survived by wife Christene and daughter Sarah. In lieu of flowers
donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,
