Hey lads, San Francisco is quite a nice city too.

Dublin is a beautiful city. I have had the pleasure of spending time there (only a week), but it was an awesome week and we had a great time. You lads have a safe trip and enjoy New York City to its fullest.

With alittle over a month left, make your plans NOW.
    St Patrick's Day Parade
    When: Thursday, March 17, 11am
Where: Up 5th Ave from 44th to 86th Streets
Probably the top Irish heritage parade in the Americas with increasing political overtones, huge crowds and plenty of suds for sale.It is the oldest parade in America, first held in 1766 by Irishmen in a military unit recruited to serve the American colonies

Tips: A good vantage point is St. Patrick's Cathedral, where the bishop of New York greets the marching pipes and bands... The Insider suggests that you can avoid larger crowds by staying away from "shopping and work-a-day crowds that throng the sidewalks below 59th." ... Don't try to discuss politics with an Irishman and his beer.

LOOK EVEN THE IRISH ARE COMING...
NEW YORK is looking forward in seeing you there!!!

Hey Turk, if your in town on the 13th. why don't you guys do a warm up parade on the other side of the river?

2005 Jersey City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Step off 12:30 Sunday, March 13th
Parade Route: Lincoln Park along Kennedy Blvd. to Journal Square reviewing stand.

It's much smaller but the drink is cold and the brotherhood is alive and well. The Park Tavern is also a blast after the parade.

If interested send me a private message and I will put you in touch with the FDJC Emerald Society.

Jonny: I don't usually post on here as I don't like to intrude on the firefighters. However, this is the post I found earlier that I thought was last years. If you ever get back to San Francisco give me ring. I hale from that area and still have family and friends to visit.
