*** REPORT FROM THE LINE OF FIRE ***

LOS ANGELES, CA:

On Friday, February 11, 2005 at 1601 Hours (4:01 PM PST), 8 Companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, two LAFD Swift Water Teams, one LAFD Heavy Rescue, one LAFD Rescue Ambulance, two LAFD Helicopters, one EMS Captain, and one Chief Officer Command team under the direction of Assistant Chief Michael Fulmis responded to a River Rescue in the Los Angeles River near Washington Boulevard near Downtown. Firefighters both on the ground and in the air arrived quickly to find a boy clinging to the flood channel wall. The thirteen-year old victim was spotted by firefighters from fire station 17 with additional LAFD rescue crews staged downstream in anticipation. Using the two-line rope system, a harnessed Firefighter was lowered down into the vertical walled channel, where he tethered the shivering boy and, with the assistance of the firefighters above, was brought to safety, cold, yet unharmed. Conscious yet exhibiting signs of hypothermia, the youth, was quickly wrapped in warm blankets and placed in a waiting LAFD ambulance, and transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. Contrary to early reports, a second boy, responsible for alerting workers at a nearby business of his friendís fate, proved not to have made contact with the water. He was examined by firefighters and released to his parents without injury. No other victims were discovered and there were no other injuries.

REPORT PREPARED BY : MELISSA KELLEY

We offer Nationwide pager coverage. We are resellers for Metrocall and NEP/UCOM Paging. Incident coverage includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island,

Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

We page Working Fires and greater, Motor Vehicle Accidents using Jaws, MCI, or Medflight Helicopter. Police Incidents such as Shootings, stabbings, car chases, etc. and Major NEWS incidents.

We have a National Group for multiple alarms that we get from our affiliates across the country and Canada.

We have several groups to choose from and all groups have the option to be turned off. We also use a state of the art FLEX system which allows us to page 240 characters. We also offer 1.7 way and 2 way pagers for guaranteed delivery of your pages.

A feature for those outside our pager service area allows us to page our incidents to your personal alphanumeric pager or to your digital cell phone or any E-mail enabled wireless device.

For existing Fire Paging groups we have the TAC9 USA Computer for multiple alarm fires. A Fire Paging group sends one page to this computer, either by SNPP, WCTP, SMTP (E-mail), or TAP (dial up) and the system sends that multiple alarm fire to all your reciprocal groups. That simple !

Call us for details or check us out on the web at www.tac9.com

Thank You for your interest in TAC9 PAGING
