    Question Fire Department activities...

here is kind of a fun question. how many fire departments hold like an annual activity such as open houses or anything of the sort? it is a great way to help raise money for the dept that in turn helps the community.

Every year my dept holds the annual Cooks Corn Roast. we buy over a thousand dozen ears of corn and roast it on open grills. people can buy an all you can eat pass. plus there is a live auction and raffle. the grand prize being a ATV. it is a great way to meet the people of the town. please let me know i would like to know that we arent the only ones

Every year after the Christmas parade we hold a chile supper. A couple bucks and it's all you can eat. We also have raffle drawings and silent auctions.

The first saturday in June our department has a pancake breakfast and during fire prevention week we have our annual open house.
