hello all. I'm new to this thread and just want to say hi. My wife and I have read just about all the posts here and have dicussed this issue very thouroughly and have decided to send in my resume. She supports my actions and these posts have helped us both understand alot more than we thought we would. A little about me. I am a former Marine ( 8 years)and became a firefighter not long after I got out. I have been with my department since March of '01 with the first year as a paid-per-call. I currently am the primary driver of Engine 4 on C shift. I am FF 1 and 2, HazMat ops, and an NREMT-B. I also have a few other classes under my belt but those are the basics. I look forward to talking more with all of you and again thank you ALL for the wonderful info you have shared regarding these matters. It helped out tremendously.
