depends on if it ever took any abuse from an inanimate object like sayyyyyyyy at street sign that may have caused it to lose one of its lives previously.

Other than that I would have to say yes, 9 would do it. But wow think of the ramifications if some of our big city police departments got a hold of this... they fire like 21 - 22 shots at an un-armed person who should only take 1 shot imagine at a cat with 9 lives.... yikes

They also fire 18 shots a point blank range at one of their own.. a K9 dog..
Officers Montgomery and Fusco fired a total of eighteen shots at Git Ander at point blank range. The eighteen consecutive shots can be clearly heard on the videotape. In addition to Git Ander wearing his police badge, the Union County Canine Police Van which was clearly marked and visible was parked less than ten feet away from the spot where the officers gunned down Git Ander
I'd also have loved to see how cat-lovers reacted to this Ford ad.

Well, just think of it this way...It shouldn't cost to terribly much to get it mounted...say.....like a mini-mountain lion? Mini-Bobcat?

Oh by the way. although I have a extreme dislike for cats...I think if open season is indeed allowed they should not allow a kill over a foodplot or off the hood of a car...after all, let's keep it fair

Smith said free-roaming cats are an invasive species that attack wild birds.

My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

I am not a cat person either, got a good chuckle out of the commercial. But on the other hand about 10 miles from where I am there is an Emu farm that has a sign that says. "EMU THE OTHER RED MEAT" always laugh when I go past because they are supposed to be such stupid birds. Dont mean to offend any Emu lovers, sorry that didn't come out right.

Wish it would happen here...the County has a leash law but it's difficult to keep cats on leashes so people don't try...animal control has been taken over by the bleeding hearts who have turned a good humane society into a "no-kill" shelter...this means even the sick ones are allowed to be housed and adopted out, infecting other healthy animals...because none are euthanized, the shelter is overpopulated and there is no room for isolation of animals suspected of having a zoonotic disease, such as rabies. That's all we need...an outbreak of rabies or who knows what ... now I wouldn't want to see the firearms laws changed...still needs to be no shots fired in town within so many yards of a residence, but I see nothing wrong with getting rid of strays that are a nuisance. If people actually care about their cats they will obey the leash laws or at least keep the cats near the residence where it couldn't be hunted.

It's funny that someone actually thought of an open season on them though...

Default Oh no! They're fighting back!

(from April 2003) CANTON, Ohio -- A pet cat jumped on an air rifle that then fired and wounded a teenage boy, the boy's mother said.

Reports filed by Stark County sheriff's deputies said the boy, Josiah V. Boughman, 15, was grazed on his right side just below his ribs with an air rifle's pellet.

The shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. Monday outside his home in nearby Tuscarawas County.

Sheriff's deputies met his mother, Mary A. Boughman, outside his hospital room. She told them her son had been at a barn about 50 yards from his family's house, shooting at rats.

Returning to the house, he put the air rifle on a picnic table, neglecting the weapon's safety, reports said.

The boy's mother told deputies a cat, which is one of the family's household pets, jumped on the table and touched the gun.

Staff at the hospital where the boy was treated told deputies boy's wound is not life threatening.
