    Default Statutory compliance

    What is this question talking about(statutory compliance) when budgiting for an item and can anyone give some good examples please

    Many state and federal safety laws talk about appropriate equipment for specific tasks, like air monitoring equipment for confined spaces, proper breathing equipment, etc, etc. This is in contrast to the regulatory (might not be right word) compliance with NFPA and ISO standards, which are accepted minimums, but not actually required. In other words, there's no possible criminal punishment for not following them. Maybe civil judgements, but not criminal.
