I got this off another site.
#5 is my personal favorite.The 10 Commandments of Emergency Vehicle Operation
1. Thou shalt treat thy pumper as though it were your firstborn child.
2. Blow thy siren and shine thy light with great vigor enroute.
3. Know where thy goest at all times.
4. Be certain all those in attendance are affixed prior to venturing forth.
5. Thou shalt arriveth shiny side up.
6. Be ever so humble when thy mike is keyed.
7. Thou shalt not leave thy station 'til thy door is openeth.
8. Thou shalt not closeth thy bay door too soon.
9. Thou shalt closeth all compartment doors when thou art done.
10. Thou shalt never chastise thy driver for making a wrong turn when it results in a Return to Quarters.

How about, "Thou shalt never start turning BEFORE clearing the bay." The engine gets a boo-boo and so does the building
, but I won't mention any names...just a unit number...11-30!!

My Dad had a g/f (long time ago) who had 2 daughters. This was a time when I had a '70 Buick Wildcat, with vinyl seats. I used to armour all the rear seat and then watch the girls in the mirror as I turned corners.

13 edit again to include the floor mats. Had a 70 model
cab over ford/Bean that I jumped into the drivers seat
at 2 am and if the passegers door had been open I would
have wound up on the bay floor instead of under the passengers
seat.
