    Default Cardio. Frequency

    Hello All,
What are you opinions on daliy cardio.(30 min at 60%-80% Maximun Heart Rate)? Is that something one would slowly work up to? Is it advisable to even do a daily cardio. workout?

    Respectfully,

    Aaron

Not so sure about daily. But I would suggest 3-4 times a week is good.

    Default Thanks

I spoke with the Doc this morning about this subject. He does six days a week three days 60%-70% MHR for around 30 min or so. The other days he does hight intensity for around 15 min. or so. I am thinking it all comes down to the individual. Thanks for your reply.

    Default It depends...

The frequency of any training will depend upon your goals and weaknesses. In terms of being "fire fit", you must make sure you have high levels of balance, coordination, agility, power, strength, endurance, and flexibility. If endurance is lacking, then 3-4 times per week will improve your endurance. Training adaptations are specific, so you have to remember to vary up your training to emphasize all of the abilities mentioned above. It may sound generic, but that is how you must gauge your program design.
