    LOS ANGELES, CA:
    TRAFFIC ACCIDENT WITH MULTIPLE PATIENTS:

On Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 1721 Hours (5:21 PM PST), 5 Companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, 6 Rescue Ambulances, 3 EMS Battalion Captains, and 2 LAFD Helicopters, under the Command of Battalion Chief Michael Bowman responded to a Multi-Patient Traffic Accident, involving two cars on the shoulder of the Eastbound 210 Freeway, west of Yarnell St. The first units on scene joined AMR, a private ambulance company, already on scene in reviving a 60-year-old male, found in traumatic full arrest. He had been working under the hood of his disabled vehicle, when a Dodge truck struck it. The revived man was transported to Olive View Medical Center but remained in critical condition. The Dodge truck contained a father, a mother and four children. Among them, a one-year old, found to be unrestrained, was treated and transported, in critical condition, via LAFD Fire 2, to UCLA Medical Center accompanied by her mother in full C-spine. A 14-year-old female, also unrestrained and in critical condition, was transported, via LAFD Fire 4, to Children’s Hospital. The remaining children were transported by ground, to Northridge Hospital and the father remained on-scene with CHP.
