Seems to me that someone already owns the rights to these episodes. You are probably opening yourself up to a huge lawsuit by selling them on DVD.

George is absolutely correct. It is called piracy, under the copyright laws of our great country. You have no legal right to distribute copies of a television program.

    Main Entry: pi·ra·cy
    Pronunciation: 'pI-r&-sE
    Function: noun
    Inflected Form: plural -cies
1 : an act of robbery esp. on the high seas; specifically : an illegal act of violence, detention, or plunder committed for private ends by crew or passengers of a private ship or aircraft against another ship or aircraft on the high seas or in a place outside the jurisdiction of any state —see also AIRCRAFT PIRACY Article I of the CONSTITUTION in the back matter
2 a : the unauthorized copying, distribution, or use of another's production (as a film) esp. in infringement of a copyright b : the unauthorized use, interception, or receipt of encoded communications (as satellite cable programming) esp. to avoid paying fees for use
3 : the crime of committing piracy

Gosh I was trying to sell a set that I got here:

My son watched them all 2 or 3 times and now is on to something else. Didn't mean to break international law.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Until Universal Puts them on DVD or Columbia House rereleases the videos I think that it is fair game to distribute copies to "friends". Courts have agreed with my premise based on old LP to Cassette rulings that it was fine to make copies for "friends".

    Folks

Your right, its piracy to sell tv shows like this.

But lets not go overboard here. Presume the person's intentions were genuine, and move on. Suggesting to go to the FBI over a simple single post is a bit much.
