    Haha, this is cheap entertainment.

DrParasite pointed this out in another thread, but I thought it would be appropriate here. On the "Future US Firefighters" forum this fellow created, he writes this:

"Hey all and welcome to the Explorers and Junior firefighters Forums. THIS IS for Explorer & Junior Firefighters only so no trouble should arrise with listen to your elder crap."

I think that says it all right there...

FWIW AsstEngineer292, people on here have a knack for getting to the bottom of things. And I strongly agree with nmfire about honesty.
God Bless America!Remember all have given some, but some have given all.

ya know normally i wouldnt mind guys busting on a junior a bit, but WTF is with you guys? comments like :
Yup. 2 years sure is a whole hell of a lot, Junior.
way to take it out of context genius.

and i realie its a difficult concept but did you guys notice that they are different email adress' not once did he call himself an assistant chief, not once did he say he was his own father, he simply gave you all the email adress to get in touch with his father who is the assistant chief. And ragging on him about why he is making this proposal is not a good idea. ever hear the saying, dont shoot the messenger? his chief told him to do it. if anything you should be nagging at the chief and not the member who is simply trying to help out his CHIEFS cause. im not saying that the plan propsed is a good one. (it makes sense.....to a point. depends on how screwed up the mack actually is) but lighten up. does there really need to be 2 pages of knocking on a guy because he's a junior who is trying to get stuff done? sit back, take a soda and RELAX!

    Maverick...

This kid has misrpresented himself on this forum claiming not to be a junior while at the same time creating another board where he admits to being a junior. Don't expect me to go along with your pleas for leniency on this guy. He should be honest about what he is and then maybe, just maybe I might go along with you. A pretender is a very dangerous thing, especially in this business.

As far as doing what his Chief told him to do I think that speaks volumes for his fire department, if in fact that part of this story is even true. Why on Earth would you have junior firefighter doing a job like that? And don't tell me it is because he is so computer literate.

Sorry, I think you are wrong on this one.

    I agree.

    And amazingly.. I agree again!

I'm sorry, it is a bit pathetic if the Fire Chief can't find resources to acquire equipment. Nothing against jr. FFs or AsstEng., but if a Chief has to rely on a kid to find him information or equipment, then that speak highly of the Chief! You see, the chain of command is like a ladder...! Typically you work UP the chain, not jump to the TOP. Well the same typically holds true with coming DOWN the chain. In most cases you delegate responsibility down the ladder. Sh*t jobs go to pee-ons, and then go up from there. Well this is something that needs to be near the top of the ladder, not on ground level!

    Maverick..

If you know any department or someone who is willing to donate a truck or swap with us PLEASE post back or e-mail me at Asst.Chief292@comcast.net
A quote from the start of this thread, by AsstEng.

Here I'm going to forget about this how about you e-mail my father at Asst.Chief292@comcast.net or Tom Toth the Chief at Chief2920@aol.com.
Another quote from this thread, by AsstEng.

Notice he says that we can “Email his father” at the same address listed as the one he said was his own?

AMEN! Looking for apparatus is not something a 16 year old should be doing. Especially with only 2 years experience.

I think an email to the Chief of his department would be most appropriate, let the Chief see some of the things that have been said. I'm still having a hard time believing that we have a 16 year old that is not a Junior, Explorer, but is an Engineer, Asst. Chief, and a Captain (Yup. His name implies one title, his email implies another, and his posts imply another.)

I damn near spit my pop out when he said the Mack isn't reliable any more, and they can't use it because it may go down. Diffently brings matenence into question. And the requirements 1250 GPM and 1000 gallons carried? Do they have a hydrant that can supply 1250 GPM? I would guess not with the 1000 Gallon carried requirement.

We had a mutual aid call (4 Departments) where that Mack would have been the one of if not the newest unit on site. We sent our second unit (79 Ford General Fire never rebuilt) and Tanker 76 IH 3000 gallons.

Maybe the Chief knows they have little hope of getting one donated/swapped, and to get rid of the annoying little pest around the firehouse, he assigned him the impossible task?

Wow considering yes i am a junior firefighter and yes my father is the Asst.Chief so since the oldies here don't have jobs and sit on their computers and hassle a kid about what he's trying to spread the word about. I didn't intend for you ignorant oldies to come on and hassle me to no end, I posted this to spread the word as Tom told me to. If you want to hassle someone, go hassle someone who deserves to be hassled and get a job and stop hassling people via internet, it's not healthy.

And 2 years experience wow man you don't read the text very well do you? I've been hanging around the station since I was 5 not counting as experience but I went to training classes, drills and all that so I have more than 2 years experience

Oh, so now you are a Junior. It doesn't matter who your father is, you are not him. Advertising his email as your address, great idea.

Ignorant oldies? No. You've posted many things that conflict with each other. We're not hassling you, we just want the truth.

Oh, and at five years old I highly doubt you were anything more then a pest in the training classes. I doubt that at five years old you could understand what relay pumping is, or the mechanics behind flashover.

do i need to have you email that actual adress or something, that IS NOT asstenginer292's email adress. he simply said who to put in the subject line. ya kinda have to read into it a little bit, but its not anything difficult.

do you guys not get the part where he is simply listing the truck for sale/trade? no where is he in charge of any of it, he is simply throwing it out there for everyone. but obvioulsy most of you are to eager to jump down a junior's throat to understand what the ORGINAL POST is about.

You sir are the most ignorant on this thread,Plus no, ill have my chief post on here i wasn't a pest nor am i now, I am simply advertising that 2924 is for sale or trade and letting others know that we need to replace it ASAP if you have a problem with it then you can come down to my station and talk to my chief, he'll just tell you that what I'm doing is what he asked me to do, ADVERTISE 2924 FOR SALE AND TELL OTHERS WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW ENGINE NO OLDER THAN 1990 and also that your acting like a child so again stop replying because you are.

    Res343cue

ADVERTISING MY FATHERS E-MAIL hmmm yea right considering he lives downstairs in the house we live in yea and he uses his e-mail more than i use mine, but if to you im advertising my fathers e-mail think what you want, you sire are the immature child and the pest on this thread.

It just seems like you're asking for a bit much.. with nothing in return. Basically you are asking someone to GIVE you an engine 1990 or NEWER with all those specs. It's like.. I'll give you my Huffy in the garage.. if you give me your new F-150 (a 1990 engine is no BMW!). Please... my dad told me to ask, he needs a backup ride. I thought trades were supposed to work out pretty equally for both sides.. someone's gonna get screwed in this "trade."

Just a side note.. why did ya'll get a new engine? Why not settle for 2 1990 or NEWER engines? That'd made sense.. I mean that Mack couldn't have gone to sh*t in a few months..
