    Default State bid apparatus

Anyone have any info on the engines available through the OSFM bid program?

I'm wondering if the base prices that are listed for some built on commercial chassis are for 2 door cabs or 4 door. How about compartment space, are options available to get rescue style compartments?

Any info I can get here and save me the hassle of contacting vendors would be appreiciated

Try the Ohio DAS site . WHen you get to the search page, do a search for fire truck, and it should list all of the State Contract vendors for fire apparatus. The way it was explained to me, is that you can spec whatever you want, but you'll only get the state price on the options listed in the contract. You shouldn't have to bid a vehicle purchased under the state contract either. We're looking at another Sutphen under the state contract, and have gotten what we wanted in the specs.

I haven't seen actual "state bid" pricing on fire trucks for a couple years.

Pierce had it on for a while. The last time I looked at the state bid list, most of the companies involved in it had a contact.

    Default try this one

Don't waste time on a state bid truck, spec what you want so you have nothing to complain about. Most complaint free company that I know of is at kovatch.com, check it out. Hope it helps.
