Man packing bag of pot asks police for a ride
Canadian Press March 24, 2005
GUELPH, Ont. - A southern Ontario man who tried to bum a ride in a police car with a baggie of marijuana hanging out of his pocket, got a trip to jail instead.
"It's unusual for someone to approach a police cruiser and ask for a ride with a baggie of marijuana hanging out of his front pocket," lawyer Eric Hafemann, who was representing 34-year-old Brian Hofstetter, told court Wednesday.
