Since the laptop speakers suck (as do most laptop internal speakers), I need to purchase an external pair. Right now, I'm looking at the Sony SRS-T77, for $50. I figure if anyone else knows of a pair for under $100 (or even under $50) that is good, I would welcome any help, as I know little in the area of laptop speakers. they would need to be portable, as they would be going in my laptop bag, and going everywhere I went.
thanks in advance.

anyone know of some good laptop speakers??If my basic HazMat training has taught me nothing else, it's that if you see a glowing green monkey running away from something, follow that monkey!

I bought some nice little Polks on ebay for about $10.
Worked fine, just make sure that they have the volume

You can get a speaker system with a subwoofer for like $30.00 at walmart. The sub makes all the difference!Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

I have a set of those. For 6.99 they are pretty good, and REALLY portable.
For 7$ you can't go wrong. I've been happy with the quality. If you go really loud, or try to add alot of bass, they suck though.

I have a set of those, and they really work well. They have a good clear sound and the subwoofer adds a nice little thump to the music.
They're not a good portable speaker system , but i imagine you could get a seperate case to carry 'em in.
