Can anyone help me on what the red card is and what is means. I have been reading a lot about it but dont know what it really means and how you get it

The "Red Card" or now Incident Qualification Card is simply a card that indicates what NWCG wildfire qualifications you posess, what physical fitness standard you have met (ie...pack test) and your deparment or agency affiliation. To get a red card you need to complete both the S-190 and S-130 courses as well as take the physical test (pack test, step test, etc...). Read cards are re-issued each year, the physical test must be done each year prior to fire season, also new training and job qualifications are added.
