1939
- Fremont - NH - 272 Main Street - Garage with attached barn/garage completely destroyed by fire - Garage contained 4 new cars and 8 used cars - The adjacent public library was badly scorched with many books suffering water damage - Kingston Mut/Aid

1954 - Leominster - MA - The fire started in a supply room in the Castle Novelty Company on Manning Ave. the heat set fire to the nearest buildings in it's path, single family houses, triple deckers, a garage, and the Aubuchon hardware store. The only two firefighters injured were trapped under a brick wall a call firefighter's car got burned as well. My great grandfather drove the city's 1946 seagrave ladder to the fire On the first call. In the end, 12 buildings damaged and or destroyed with 56 left homeless.

1984 - Newbury - NH - The original Newbury fire station was severely damaged by fire overnight

2000 - Bangor - ME - Fire - 27 State St - Radio Station WWBX/WABI set on fire - Bldg severely damaged - Responsible parties arrested

2001 - Randolph (South Randolph) - VT - Working Fire - Clay White Road - Angels Sugar House

- Schenectady - NY - New Central RR Station catches fire and spreads to and destroys several other buildings including Givens Hotel, a blacksmith shop, a tobacco shop, a warehouse and several barns

1900 - Kansas City - MO - Convention Hall, Lathrop School and 2nd Presbyterian Church destroyed by fire - Convention Hall was to hold national Democratic Convention that summer

1956 - New York (Bronx) - NY - 4th Alarm - Box 2904 - 3 Ave at E 175 St. Marquee Collapse - Line of Duty Death

Miami Valley Breaking News sends out incident notifications of all types of fires, multiple alarm fire, hazardous materials incidents, several different types of EMS incidents, including MVC's with entrapment, MCI's, shootings and stabbings. We have also just begun sending law enforcement incidents, like pursuits, armed robbery and SWAT call-out, to name a few. Our software allows us to send directly to Nextel, Arch Wireless and Ameritech, and to all other wireless devices as an email.

MVBN sends incidents notifications on a county-by-county basis. We have three different groups for each county, which are, fire, EMS and law enforcement, and we also send daytime (7am - 10pm) and nighttime (10pm - 7am) notifications, which allows our members to use a work pager/cell phone to receive information from us, without being disturbed at night.

Our current coverage area includes the following counties in Ohio and northern Kentucky: - Boone (KY), Butler, Campbell (KY), Champaign, Clark, Columbiana, Darke, Delaware, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Kenton (KY), Logan, Madison, Mahoning, Miami, Montgomery, Portage, Preble, Trumbull, Union, and Warren. For the counties not listed, we have an "other" group. We also send out Amber Alerts and incoming National incident notifications from other groups around the country.
