    Official Title: System Operator

Realistic Title: Generation, Transmission and Distribution Dispatcher

    Common Title: Power Dispatcher

When you flip the light switch and the lights come on, and once again you don't give even a passing thought to how remarkable it is that they always come on, then we're doing our job right.

This job is every bit as cool as being a firefighter!

Dispatch fire/ems for county. Not a 911 dispatcher. We are the only county left in Ohio that does not have 911.

We passed a phone fee to fund our 911. That was a year and a half ago. Dont think I like way ours is going to work. It will ring into a router that will send it to a pesap. The peasap will then forward it to our dispatch center. All emergency services will keep their dispatch services. Just 911 will ring into four differant areas that will send the info to our dispatch. Think it is going to be a nightmare.

If I was a betting person ours will be similiar. They are going to try to do it as cheap as possible because of the money issue. Be done half *****ed like everything else.
