Future firefighter

Hi,
My name is Marc I am 17 years old. I have a Brother in Law that is a Firefighter in kansas and is currently a trainee. I hope to be joining him after I get the appropriate training at the Apex volunteer Fire Department in NC. I have been doing my research on the web and also in the library to learn about the training I will need in order to become a full time payed fire fighter. This site has been the most helpful of all.

I would respect any advice that I might need to suceed at this goal?

I just started myself, I'm 16 so I have yet to attend fire school, but I love being a volunteer. Keep up the good work man!

I am now 20 but i started on my local volunteer dept when i was 18. I love being on the dept and helping others when they are in their time of need. I can't think of anything that would make me feel more proud.

Nice to see someone young on here.
I'm almost 19 and I'll be the youngest in my department. I'm not an official member yet, I applied last year and they "lost" my applicationa nd I applied again this year in March. I go Monday nights to the training and everything anyway.
