Wow, that is some story!
I am surprised that these posting don't get audited before they get viewed by the public.

Hmmm... methinks something is fishy.... if you look at the bid history, you'll see that the first 5 bids are all from the same person.

Ignore this mutt. Any fool who legitimately bids on this deserves exactly what they get.... a coin scratched with a nail.

Not only are the first 5 bids by the same person, but the times he bid on the coin were about a minute apart for all 5 of them, he started bidding at 10:25 and the 5th and last time was 10:26. I think im reporting this one.

Also, strangely enough, both people who are bidding have "just become ebay members in the last two weeks"... G*D some people are freakin' idiots...

This is the sick part about this whole thing. at some time the seller added this:
I decided to donate 15% of the auction to a 9-11 charity of the buyers choice. If you do not know of one I will choose one for you. If the auction reaches $250 i will donate 20% If the auction reches $350 or more I will donate 25% I will give the buyer some form of proof.
I bet that no charity gets a penny.

Oh my god. That's the funniest thing I've ever seen. How stupid can you be to believe that someone would fall for that load of crap!
What's next? He going to sell his skid-marked underwear and claim these mysterious brown markings are the work of a disgruntled worker at the sweatshop who died.....
If this wasn't such an affront to everything those men on 9/11 died for, I wouldn't feel bad for laughing. I think I'll go report this now."Captain 1 to control, retone this as a structure and notify the fire chief...."
Safety is no accident.

I just asked the seller a simple question:
What's on the reverse side?
The item appears to be one of the state quarters. On the day of the attacks, there were only 14 states in circulaton and one had been out less than a month. Now there are 32. The odds are good this goober used a coin not released prior to 9/11.
If he bothers to answer my question, I'll post what he says...

I was thinking the same thing and doing my search for what quarters were out when you posted and beat me to it. Let us know if you get a responce would bet you dont hear back from this dude.A "Good" fire is not measured by how big it is, but by the fact that everyone is going home safe, and that we possibly learned something new about firefighting.
