Unhappy In need of new replacemtn engine

Does anyone know of a company in the North-Eastern states selling a pumper? We're in the process of looking for a engine to replace our Mack we have. We're looking for a 1985-Newer,1250GPM or more,1,000 Water or more and must be enclosed. For right now we haven't found anything but if someone on here found something please let us know. Thanks in advance-Lebanon Lakes Volunteer Fire Co. Members

Looks to me like it's time to hire a truck mechanic. We're running stuff as old as 78 on a regular basis. The 78 is next due for replacement but that won't happen for probably 18-24 months.Proper maintenance will give you 20-30 years of dependable service. T.C.

OR pick up a copy of NJ 1st Responders montly newspaper. There are always ads throughout that paper for local used fire apparatus.

I bet you are mad that you have to give up your seat to a trained FF when you only roll one engine huh?

Why is a 16 year old kid making these requests?

    Lighten up, guys.

If/when you were a sixteen year old junior, you would have loved to be the hero and been able to show the department where to buy its next rig.

At least he isn't asking what kind of red and blue lights to put on his bike. We're all in this more or less together, right?

There are more worthy things to reserve your angst for.

That was covered in his trade/donated truck thread. The Chief asked him to advertise for a replacement engine because AsstEngineer292 is good with computers.

    This unit is a Pemfab/FMC 1990 with a 1500 gpm 750 tank NFPA comp.
It will be up for sale in the fall.

Your chief can contact 1100 thru the county line 7111.

    Hmm. Good point.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Wish we could afford it....$17,000 a year doesn't last long when $14,000 goes to insurance, bills.

Not really we have a 6-Man on the engine and we rarely get 5 but if I do get bumped I don't get aggrevated, I either go on the next engine or go with the Utility Truck, if they need it there.

In your other thread looking for a truck, I posted a link to the 1strepsonder online with some pumpers selected.

    Question

I guess since he is a junior that he is following orders from the Chief. Just maybe no one else there has the back gound as he does and from all the stuff (polls) he has created, maybe he is the looker (gopher) for the man!!! Every Chief needs one.

What is your budget for a truck? If we know the price it would limit the search!
-I have learned people will forget what you said,
-People will forget what you did,
-But people will never forget how you made them feel!

Well $17,000 a year, $14,000 goes to insurance so right now I'd imagine we have around $3,000-$4,500 dollars but we'd be putting the Mack up for sale starting it around $25,000
