Can anyone help me find the pictures of the oxygen tank that exploded in the compartment of there engine, I cant remember where it was from. I would like the picture to show my grandfather what happens to oxygen tanks when around sparks. We have been catching him smoking in his place with his oxygen on, wonder he hasn't cought the place on fire, but hopefully if I can find these pictures it will change his mind about smoking while on oxygen. Thanks

First of all, try a spelling and grammar check before you post.....
And are you talking about an SCBA tank that exploded or the oxygen tank that caught on fire in the bag in the compartment????
Either way, they were both discussed in these forums........The comments made by me are my opinions only. They DO NOT reflect the opinions of my employer(s). If you have an issue with something I may say, take it up with me, either by posting in the forums, emailing me through my profile, or PMing me through my profile.

I don't know the location nor do I have the pics but I remember a first aid bag that melted or burned not that long ago. There was a thread regarding on here just a month ago I believe. Mostly you should be able to find ambulances that had explosions. I have a powerpoint presentation on SCBAs that I included some pictures of a house exploding with firefighters in it from some oxygen tanks.
Don't expect many pictures of tanks left over after the explosion, usually nothing left.NREMT-P\ Volunteer Fire Chief\Tactical Paramedic

I may have some pics of a couple members of the "little green buddy brigade" who have caught their O2 tubing on fire. One guy had a neat plastic moustache. If I can blur 'em (and find 'em) I'll post or send them to you.
