Smile Just Took My 1st Civil Service Exam!

Alliance city FD was hiring, so I applied. They are a career full time FIRE department, no EMS, but that dosen't matter to me. They run out of one station with a rescue, 100' platform, 75' stick and a pump. Crews are between 8 and 10 plus a chief. A reserve station has a second engine and a utility. They are hiring between 2 and 5 firefighters, about 70 took the test, about 40 of those were FFs of some sort already.

I felt pretty good about the test, only a few questions out of about 100 were not obvious to me and I almost finished the entire visual pursuit portion. I was told when they are graded, a certian upper percentile will move on, the rest will not. This is my first full time application for a FD so this is all new, exciting and a little confusing to me but I really hope it works out for me. I will be sure to keep everyone posted when I find out more.

I got my scores back, I score 83.6, so I'm hoping thats good enough to score an interview. Passing was a 70. I'll just wait and see i guess.

What do you guys think average scores are?
