Default Why I Should Move to Tulsa

I was hoping to gather some opinions that will hopefully be of some use. My wife is a 3rd year medical student. This time next year we will be moving somewhere for her to complete her residency. A few programs have risen to the top.

One is located in Tulsa. What I am asking for is your opinion as to why Tulsa is a good or bad place to live. If I knew I wouldn't be asking. Just looking for a little fat to chew on from some folks who know instead of some fancy chamber of commerce fluff. Thanks for reading and for any replies.

I dare you to reply to this post...
They have firefighters in Oklahoma don't they? I think I saw some on TV once. Who has something to say about Tulsa?

I don't know if you are still considering Tulsa or not. I live in Tulsa, it's okay here. The weather is exactly like the Dallas area, hot as he** in the summer and lots of ice in the winter. One thing it has over Dallas is that Tulsa has a "small town" feel to it. Also unlike Dallas (where my sister lives and it takes here over an hour to drive 18 miles to work), you can get anywhere in town in less than 15 minutes which is kind of nice. They do have many medical residency programs here ( my wife is also a 3rd year med student) and Tulsa is a nice place to raise kids, good schools in the area.

Tulsa, great town, lots to do and see, not as much as Dallas though.

South Tulsa is by far the best place to live (Broken Arrow, Bixby, Sand Springs)

I think you can fly to Dallas from Tulsa on SW for next to nothing so if you needed to get back to big D, it's rather easy.
