Default Why Should I Move to Erie

I was hoping to gather some opinions that will hopefully be of some use. My wife is a 3rd year medical student. This time next year we will be moving somewhere for her to complete her residency. A few programs have risen to the top.

One is located in Erie. What I am asking for is your opinion as to why Erie is a good or bad place to live. If I knew I wouldn't be asking. Just looking for a little fat to chew on from some folks who know instead of some fancy chamber of commerce fluff. Thanks for reading and for any replies.

    Question C'mon people...

Over 50 views and no responses? Throw a dog a bone. There has to be someone who has an opinion about Erie? Good or bad, don't matter.

From Texas, huh? Well, you better start working your arms and back, and buy a good set of winter work gloves with thick leather palms- that can grip a snow shovel very well!!!!

    Talking Been there done that!

Jersey born and spent a few years in Chicago. The snow would be a welcome change from the weather here.
You have any tidbits to share about Erie?

    Default Move to Erie

I live about 2.5 hours from Erie and have been there many times for shopping, doctor visits, etc. It is a very very nice city and I enjoy going there. The winters are very harsh with lots of snow coming from off of the lake, but welcome to PA. All of the hospitals in Erie are top notch, so your wife will be getting an excellent education. Erie is a great place and I vote for you to move there. Can I ask which hospital she'll be going to?
